Procurement Associate (Finance)



Scope: This position is responsible for supporting Linde's Asset Recovery & Sourcing Support program. Incumbents in this position will be responsible for regularly facilitating redeployment and resale of company assets, supporting equipment decommissioning projects and supporting various strategic sourcing initiatives within Linde Americas Procurement. Reporting Relationships: This position will report directly into the Sr. Manager Asset Recovery. There are no direct reports. Principal Responsibilities: - Proactively conduct research within company (i.e. internal idle asset registry) to assist business development activities and identifying potential opportunities for Asset Recovery projects. - Facilitates transactions pertaining to internal redeployment of assets amongst various Linde business units. - Facilitates auctions and sales listing of idle asset listings on the public market. - Maintains organized records of pending and completed sales of assets, from initial inquiry from the field to receipt of cash to business. - Assist in projects pertaining to scrapping of idle assets and demolition of sites. - Manage sourcing support activities including but not limited to program management, Freight admin & optimization, telecom optimization, invoice problem review & resolution, monitor & drive spend to preferred suppliers etc. - Autonomous work under the supervision of Asset Recovery Manager with accountability for financial results. - Support projects involving the decommissioning of assets and demolition. - Sourcing support for Environmental related commodities. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required; Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fields preferred. - Minimum 1-2 years of procurement, equipment sales or operations experience in an industrial environment. - Self-driven and high level interpersonal / communication skills required. - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Strong organization skills. - Ability to travel up to 10% is preferred. Houston salary range available upon request.
