E-Kit Pharamacy Technician (Healthcare)
Responsibilities:
Prepare and fill emergency medication kits (eKits), back-up boxes, and automated dispensing unit (ADU) trays per protocol
Accurately label and verify contents of each kit under pharmacist oversight
Conduct routine inspections and reconciliations of returned or expired kits
Coordinate with couriers to dispatch replenished kits and ensure timely delivery
Maintain inventory of eKit supplies and medications; communicate reorder needs
Log all activity in pharmacy software (e.g., FrameworkLTC, DocuTrack, or equivalent)
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to emergency kit handling
Assist in the tracking of kit returns, expiration monitoring, and destruction of unused medications
Communicate professionally with LTC facility staff regarding kit usage, refills, and delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the eKit preparation area
Support general pharmacy operations as needed
Shift: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred or as required by state law
Prior experience in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy setting preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Proficient in using pharmacy dispensing software and Microsoft Office tools
Excellent communication and time management skills
Work Environment:
Closed-door pharmacy
Standing, walking, and manual tasks for most of the shift
Temperature-controlled storage and preparation areas
Some travel to facilities may be required (if applicable)
