Job Description

Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for an Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) Lab Technician in our Midland, Texas location. If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity!

SUMMARY

Execute proprietary Imperative laboratory workflow utilizing laboratory equipment to develop a best in class fracturing fluid chemical product line designed to increase client well productivity. Generate scientific data to assist in converting data into knowledge for client Portfolio of Results presentations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols in a laboratory environment.
  • Run experiments and operate specialized equipment according to their standard operational procedure.
  • Cleaning, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of experiments, observations, and results.
  • Utilize and maintain laboratory databases.
  • Collaborate with scientists to support research and development initiatives.
  • Receiving, logging, labeling, and properly storing samples to be analyzed.
  • Sampling/shipping test materials for internal and 3 rd party testing.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding internal and external data and analysis.
  • Other duties as may be assigned  to support laboratory operations.

SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

  • B.S. degree preferred, A.S. required (may be substituted for minimum of 2 years of relevant experience)
  • Laboratory analytical and testing skills
  • Understand lab processes and efficiencies
  • Self-starter | Fast learner | Attention to detail
  • Excel | PowerPoint | Microsoft Word
  • Mathematical aptitude | Mechanical aptitude |Ability to protect confidential information
  • Oil and gas industry experience with knowledge of fracturing fluid chemical product lines a plus
