Contracts Administrator I (Finance)
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Contracts Administrator I is an entry level position that will work under direct supervision of a Contracts Manager and will be involved with and learn activities required for developing and maintaining contracts or subcontracts for various products and services from proposal development through product/service delivery and then final closeout of the contract. This person will develop skills in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The Contract Administrator I will develop the ability for interpreting terms and conditions and for monitoring performance against contract requirements and obligations.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Under direct supervision of a Contract Manager will be developing skills to maintain contracts/subcontracts for various products and services from proposal development through product/service delivery and final closeout of the contract.
Participates in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to develop proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
The Contract Administrator I, as part of the business team, during contract negotiations with the customer will observe how experts advise management of contractual rights and obligations and then recommends actions to mitigate contract risk.
During contract performance, the Contract Administrator I will learn how to interpret terms and conditions and how to monitor performance against contract requirements and obligations.
As part of the proposal preparation process, the Contract Administrator I may be asked to examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules for accuracy, completeness and ensures that it meets the requirements of government regulations.
Essential functions that will be developed and measured include, but not limited to, producing contractual letters, narratives for contract changes, conducting contract negotiations, contractual interpretation of order requirements and agreements, billing support, upkeep of assigned contract files and track all internal/external contractual obligations.
Become knowledgeable and have the ability to implement and maintain the SalesForce software for Elbit Systems. Coordinate all data input, assure accuracy and produce reports as requested. Be responsive to Business Unit and Senior Management requests for information. Help align the reports for strategic analysis and direction.
Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience & License or Certification:
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Associate's degree is required
Specific Degree Field Preferred: Business Administration
Entry level functional (using skill set) experience is required
1-3 years of industry experience is required
Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
Skills and Abilities
Extensive organization and time management skills.
Must have the ability to prioritized work in dynamic environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of SalesForce software.
Knowledge of PowerPoint, Project and Access is highly desirable.
Candidate must be a US person.
This position will not require a Security Clearance.
