UNFI - NorCal Produce is looking for qualified Order Selectors in West Sacramento, CA!
Please note: NorCal Produce is fully a climate controlled warehouse with cold temperatures ranging from 30-35°F degrees

Shift Info:
- Sundays are MANDATORY! (busiest day of the week!)
- 2 days back-to-back off during the week and Saturdays always OFF
- 2PM start until finish
- 4x10hrs schedule typically
- Overtime as needed, sometimes mandatory
- Fully climate controlled warehouse - must be ok with chill environment (no freezer, just fridge around 35 degrees)
- Nuts, fruits, veggies, fresh flowers etc. are found at this distribution center
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Operates a double pallet jack throughout the warehouse.
- Selects cases and applies pick labels.
- Obtains work assignments.
- Works in a fast distribution center environment
- Stacks cases onto pallets.
- Inspects equipment and fills out inspection checklist.
- Cleans work area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Required:
- Minimum one year warehouse experience required
- Experience with rider pallet jack, electric pallet jack or similar
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Skills/Abilities:
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
