housekeeper (Maintenance)



Full Time, rotating 4 on 2 off schedule (must be available to work weekends)

Wage DOE: $16.66-$19.00/hr

Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, dining rooms and floors. Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms. Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris. Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers. Empty trash cans and replace liners. Take garbage out to dumpster. Sweep and mop floors. Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents. Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions. Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner. Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns. Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished. Excellent customer skills and positive attitude. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently or with a team.

Minimum requirement to perform the essential functions of this position is a High School Diploma or a GED, ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions and ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, fluent in written and spoken English.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, kneel, push, pull, reach, stand, walk and talk, read or hear. Daily use of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
