At Principle Toyota of Hernando, our service department is only as efficient as our parts department -- and we're looking for a Parts Counterman who takes pride in accuracy, urgency, and excellent customer service. You'll play a critical role in keeping technicians equipped, guests informed, and the entire dealership moving efficiently. We're seeking someone who is detail-oriented, experienced in dealership parts operations, and ready to be a go-to resource for both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist technicians at the internal parts counter with timely, accurate parts sourcing
Look up, order, receive, and distribute automotive parts using dealership systems
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Toyota parts catalogs and manufacturer guidelines
Communicate clearly with service advisors and retail guests at the front counter
Perform inventory cycle counts and assist in stock organization and bin maintenance
Monitor backorders and expedite special-order parts as needed
Maintain clean, organized parts storage and work areas
What You Bring:
2+ years of experience in a dealership or high-volume parts department
Familiarity with Tekion, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or other DMS platforms
Strong understanding of parts flow in a fixed ops environment
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and manage inventory movement safely
A proactive, team-first attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
Toyota parts experience or certification is a plus (but not required)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
