US-Tacoma-Millwright Specialist (Finance)



Position Summary:

The Millwright Specialist position is responsible for precision machine installation and assembly using sophisticated measuring instruments. They install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and stationary industrial machinery in production and manufacturing environments.

Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to carry out precision work in manufacturing, whether it be indoor or outdoor environments, utilizing machine tools and precision instruments.
    • Must have a keen eye for perfect fit as a Millwright Specialist works to a specification of a thousandth of an inch.
  • Foundational Skills
    • Ability to read industrial prints, schematics, symbols, corrections, plant layout and layout plans, reading and measuring devices, as well as electrical drawings.
    • Extensive knowledge for proper use of hand and power tools.
    • Trained in power transmission, bearings, and seals, reciprocating compressors, lubrication, and gear boxes.
  • Ability to install manufacturing equipment, plant machinery, transportation systems/warehouse equipment, facility equipment, and HVAC equipment.
  • Experience working with mechanical drives and conveyors, boilers, HVAC, emergency operations and systems, and predictive maintenance.
  • Must be able to tack weld and have experience in fabrication.
  • Must have the ability to read diagrams, schematic drawings, and electrical drawings.
Qualifications:
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Ability to score a minimum of 80% on Industrial Millwright Aptitude Test
  • Experience - 5+ years of industrial Millwright Experience is preferred
  • License/Certification:
• Licensed Journey Level Industrial Millwright - Preferred
    • o General Maintenance
    • o Maintenance/Repair Machinery
    • o Lubrication
    • o Welding & Fabrication
