Part Time Data Collector- Cizik School of Nursing (Finance)
The Data Collector will support a research study led by Dr. Diane Santa Maria at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), Cizik School of Nursing. The study focuses on improving HIV prevention and reducing substance use among youth experiencing homelessness by evaluating the effectiveness of an adaptive HIV intervention. The Data Collector will work closely with a team that includes two research coordinators and two research nurses to carry out various aspects of the study. Responsibilities include traveling to shelter and community locations throughout the Houston area to assist with participant screening, recruitment, and enrollment; collecting data and supporting participant tracking and follow-ups; and assisting with the preparation of study materials, social media outreach, and data entry. This role also offers opportunities for professional growth through trainings, conferences, and other learning experiences. Additionally, the candidate may contribute to academic writing efforts, including manuscripts intended for submission to peer-reviewed journals.

Certification/Skills:
Trained by project manager or principal on techniques to interview, complete questionnaires, and operate equipment. May need to be bilingual.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma
Minimum Experience:
Two years related experience with emphasis on public contact.
May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
