Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician (Biotech)
Who you are: In the past you may have worked doing general maintenance performing minor repairs on buildings or even landscaping duties like mowing lawns and weed eating. You may have some background in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and mechanical experience. Regardless, you are dependable, work hard, communicate well, and aren't afraid to ask questions or ask for help when needed.
What the job is: As a Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will provide general facility maintenance and repairs for all Green Diamond offices, buildings, and facilities associated with the California Timberlands Operation. Additionally, this position provides assistance to Green Diamond Security as necessary to include the maintenance and repair of gates, maintaining signage, and managing trespass and dumping issues. The job requires skill in carpentry, painting, minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical. The expectation is to provide routine repair and maintenance at the various sites to keep the grounds, facilities and improvements in good working order. This work includes cleaning around the outside of facilities to include mowing, weed-eating and other minor landscape tasks.
Work schedule: Your actual schedule will be determined upon hire. An example of the schedule could look like Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Usual days off are Saturday and Sunday. The job will last through the summer and fall ending approximately in October 2025.
Where you'll work: You will work at our offices located in Humboldt County in Korbel which is along the northern California coast. Our offices are nestled in the forest where the redwoods meet the Pacific Ocean.
Compensation Details: The rate for this job is $20.00 per hour. Green Diamond offers a few benefits for seasonal jobs. Paid days off include company holidays that occur during the time you are employed for the season, up to 2 floating (personal) holidays and 3 days of bereavement leave and 2 days unpaid bereavement.
