Lead Educator, Entrepreneurship and Personal Branding (Personal Services)



IMG Academy seeks a forward-thinking, student-centered educator to lead the design and delivery of an innovative curriculum in entrepreneurship, personal branding, financial literacy, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) awareness. This 12-month position is uniquely designed to empower student-athletes with the tools to understand their value, develop their personal brand, and build a foundation in business and life skills relevant to success both during and beyond the traditional academic calendar.  In addition to instruction, the role includes summer responsibilities such as curriculum development, partnership cultivation, individualized student planning, and program enhancement aligned with evolving trends in athlete branding and NIL policy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Design & Delivery: Develop and implement a dynamic, project-based curriculum that teaches core principles of entrepreneurship, brand building, digital literacy, NIL, and financial literacy in a way that is relevant to high school student-athletes.
  • Instruction: Facilitate engaging classes and workshops with real-world application, including use of guest speakers, case studies, and industry examples from sports, business, and digital media.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as an internal thought leader on topics such as NIL education, emerging athlete markets, influencer branding, and monetization strategies, staying up-to-date with industry and NCAA/state regulatory changes.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with Athletics, APD (Athlete Performance & Development), and College Planning & Placement to ensure alignment of educational goals with athletic and career development pathways throughout the school year and summer development windows.
  • Mentorship & Guidance: Support individual student-athletes in exploring entrepreneurial ventures, managing their online presence, and identifying opportunities that align with their interests and goals.
  • External Engagement: Help coordinate speaker series, alumni involvement, and experiential learning opportunities with professionals across sports, marketing, and entrepreneurship sectors.​

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in NIL education, athlete development, sports marketing, or entrepreneurship education. Experience within collegiate athletic departments is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of NIL regulations, branding strategies, and entrepreneurial principles. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in education, compliance, or sports management are advantageous.​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering educational programs related to NIL or entrepreneurship.
  • Established network within the sports marketing and athlete representation industries.
  • Familiarity with digital content creation, social media analytics, and personal branding tools.​
