JOB SUMMARY

Bottling Maintenance Mechanic I performs basic mechanical work to maintain various high speed production equipment in good working order. Maintain, repair, and modify existing and new equipment, including the fabrication of simple parts. Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental, and team member's safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment/systems by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain high speed bottling line equipment.
  • Maintain electronic equipment maintenance records.
  • Identify and report needed maintenance and repairs to Forman/Bottling Maintenance Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2-5 Years of Experience Required.
  • Forklift Certified.
  • LOTO/Confined Space Certified.
  • Valid CA Driver's License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Repeatedly ascend/descend stairs and ladders at heights of 40' and higher.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in and around outdoor elements such as precipitation, wind, low/high temperatures, and elevated noise levels.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • Frequently required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances.

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly Pay Range Posted: $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
