Power Platform Developer (Information Technology)



Position Overview

We are seeking a Power Platform Developer to help build tools and automate processes that drive business efficiency. This role focuses on designing and maintaining custom business applications using Power Apps and Power Automate, while also contributing to Power BI dashboards and light system integrations.

The ideal candidate brings experience developing business-facing apps, working with SQL data sources, and collaborating with end users to solve workflow challenges. You will work closely with IT peers and business teams to support and enhance the internal tech ecosystem.

Compensation: 90k to 100k

Location: Irving, Tx

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm - Hybrid (2 days remote/3 days in office)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user-friendly business applications using Power Apps (Canvas).
  • Automate workflows and processes with Power Automate.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that support internal reporting and decision-making.
  • Connect apps and workflows to SQL databases, SharePoint, and other internal systems.
  • Work directly with business users to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Provide documentation and light user training for tools you create.
  • Follow internal governance and security best practices for Power Platform solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior developers on advanced integrations and projects when needed.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of data structures and relational models.
  • Exposure to Power BI dashboard development (intermediate level).
  • Ability to work with SharePoint, SQL Databases, and file systems as data sources.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred but Not Required)

  • Experience with Model-Driven Apps or custom connectors.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Azure SQL, or REST API integrations.
  • Exposure to PowerShell, JavaScript, or light scripting.
  • Background in data visualization, workflow mapping, or low-code environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
