Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd Shift - Up to $35 p/hr to start (Maintenance)



This is a 2nd Shift, 6 pm to 6 am, position.  Will pay up to $35 per hour plus a shift differential.  

Industrial (Manufacturing) Maintenance Technician; top starting hourly pay rate -- commensurate with work experience, training, and education. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as a commitment to safety procedures and protocols.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
  • Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Expertise in performing rounding maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with other team members and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and motors; understanding of wiring and control systems.
  • Expertise with fluid power systems and their maintenance.
