The Department of Surgery at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an APRN/PA to further our patient access and provide coordination and continuity of care patients in Vascular Surgery. Applicants should have completed an accredited PA or ARNP program, have a minimum 2 years of experience with Surgical patients and be licensed (or license eligible in the state of Florida.Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor. This position requires graduation from an accredited APRN academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64. Candidates must be board certified/Board eligible in.

Serves as an extension of our physician providers in the Vascular Division. Conducts independent clinics.

Responsible for care coordination of complex surgical patients including surgical planning, and postoperative management. Responsible for closing all encounters within the approved policy based timeline, maintaining all appropriate licensure and certification through continuing education, completing all patient related paperwork in a timely manner and responding to patient tasks including phone calls, MyChart messages and other forms of communication from patient that may require a response. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department. Apply
