Position Overview:
The CAMA Lead Machine Operator oversees daily machine operations, ensures production schedules are met, and maintains a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires advanced machine operation skills, leadership abilities, and a strong focus on quality control and continuous improvement. The CAMA Lead Machine Operator acts as the primary point of contact between production staff and Supervisor or Coordinator.


Responsibilities:
· Operate, set up, and maintain production machinery according to established standards and procedures.
· Lead and train machine operators, providing guidance, support, and coaching on best practices.
· Monitor production lines to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met.
· Troubleshoot machine issues, perform minor repairs, and coordinate maintenance when necessary.
· Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and material usage through Red Zone and ERP system.
· Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
· Collaborate with supervisors and quality teams to resolve production or product issues.
· Assist in scheduling and delegating tasks to team members to meet daily/weekly production targets.
· Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
· Serve as a role model for teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
· 3-5 years of machine operation experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or senior operator role.
· Strong knowledge of production machinery, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
· Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting.
· Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
· The ability to read, write and understand English is required.
· Attention to detail.
· Able to be adaptable and work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
· Good team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
· Able to effectively manage and prioritize job functions.
· Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Hours, Location and Pay:
We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works a non-rotating 2-2-3 schedule 5:45am - 6:00pm or 5:45pm - 6:00am at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility.

Physical and Mental Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Mental demands include multi-tasking, decision making, problem solving, comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing data.
· Potential for exposure to chemicals, heights, loud noises, mechanical equipment, wet environments, and other potential hazards exists.
