Role Purpose

The incumbent will be expected to provide strategic leadership, as well as operational/tactical level engagement, providing value in all areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to, employee relations and engagement, talent management, succession and development, performance management, HSE and Leave Management, HR planning, total rewards, process integration/automation/continuous improvement and overall HR program delivery.

The Human Resources Manager will effectively support and enable the success of their client group at all levels of the site including Executive Team Leaders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, decisive, results-oriented leader who is continuous improvement-focused and can develop and manage relationships across the Company with a wide variety of individuals/disciplines based on trust, teamwork, HR and business knowledge.

Position Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, HR and Talent Development, the HR Manager will:

  • Provide end to end HR program leadership and delivery, including communication, continuous improvement and standardization, reporting, governance, diligence, and administration of the Woodbridge HR programs.
  • Manage end to end recruitment process for all Corporate roles within the client group including coaching leaders on ensuring an excellent candidate experience, HR system and ATS management, interview leadership/support, employment offers, reference checks and the onboarding process.
  • Be an ambassador and champion for the Woodbridge Culture and represent Woodbridge as an Employer of Choice at all stages of the employee experience.
  • Act as an advisor by providing guidance and/or coaching to leaders and teammates with respect to HR legislation/regulations and HR processes, programs and activities.
  • Manage all Teammate relations issues. Provide subject matter expertise, support, and manage all activities related to a positive employee experience.
  • Drive employee engagement and philanthropic activities, supporting a positive work environment and Woodbridge CARES program effectiveness.
  • Work with external resources to ensure immigration matters for Corporate Teammates are managed effectively and in a timely manner (i.e. Visa Petitions, Perm Residencies). Provide international travel support for seamless border crossings.
  • Manage HR Systems administration for client group. Maintain employee personnel files, both manual and HR system files for client group and interact with payroll and benefits to ensure related accuracy and timeliness.
  • Act as the first point of contact for benefits and payroll inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders in our other corporate locations to share best practices and establish standardization and consistency, where appropriate as needed.
  • Initiate and support the continuous improvement and standardization of HR-related programs such as policy and procedure development and implementation.
  • Report necessary data analytics monthly with exceptional quality and timeliness (Headcount, Safety KPI).
  • Assist with Company audit and federal reporting practices (IATF, VETS Reporting, EE0-1 Reporting).
  • Partner with Total Rewards as needed for market analysis, compensation proposals and job evaluations.
  • Manage the Corporate HR Budget for the location, processing invoices and managing expenses, as needed, through Concur database.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives for the location, ensuring smooth transitions through effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive digital transformation in HR by identifying and implementing automation opportunities and improving the overall user experience.
  • Ensure all HR practices comply with employment laws, industry regulations, and internal policies, mitigating risk and ensuring audit readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Development or equivalent).
  • 5-7 years previous HR experience. Previous experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Corporate Sales/Program Management would be beneficial.

  • Strong data analysis skills, reporting capability and attention to detail (focused on data accuracy and comfortable with data audits).
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a focus on driving results.
  • Comfort and ability with all Microsoft office products.
  • Strong technical skills in all aspects of HR program delivery and Employment Practices and Legislation.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and automated/integrated solutions. Prior experience with SAP Success Factors would be an asset.
  • Ability to travel on occasion.
