Electronics Calibration Technician (Finance)



The specific pay rate and level will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience and location.

“A Day in the Life”

As a Calibration Technician you will follow standard procedures and established guidelines calibrating, testing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment. In this position you will be a critical part of the process to get test equipment to the customers when they need it and ready to operate.

“What You'll Do”

  • Document action in computerized inventory management system.
  • Assist internal and external customers with technical issues.
  • Clean and accessorize equipment and maintain a clean and orderly lab area.
  • Work on established priorities making decisions within established guidelines and policies.
  • Calibrate equipment using manual or automated procedures.
  • Functionally test equipment utilizing functional test procedures or manufacture manuals.
  • Upgrade firmware as necessary to maintain functionality.
  • Identify and test parts and accessories for various electronic test equipment.

“Must Haves”

  • Knowledge in the theory of operation, application, calibration and maintenance of electronic products.
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment; General Purpose, RF, Telecom, Oscilloscopes, Optical, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer skills needed to maintain equipment history databases, as well as controlling computer operated test equipment.
  • Strong customer focus, teamwork, organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the Company's procedures and safety policies and procedures.
  • Has knowledge of basic priorities, practices, and procedures with the job.
  • Works under supervision of senior technicians, Supervisor / Manager.
  • Low level troubleshooting and repair.
  • Uses 6S toSort,Set,Shine,Standardize andSustain their immediate workplace; maintains clean aSafe work area.

“Nice to Haves”

  • Associate of Applied Science or equivalent experience in an electronics calibration environment.
  • Military PMEL training a plus

Special Considerations:

  • May be required to be on call
  • May require a small amount of overnight travel in support of company business
  • General warehouse and laboratory environment
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 45 pounds
  • Long periods of standing or sitting
