Inventory Demand Planner (Project Management)

The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting responsibilities associated with customers and products and develops strategies to meet customer requirements. The Demand Planner will also be responsible for analyzing customer trends and developing strategies to maximize customer satisfaction.

Pay Range:  $56,483.95 - $72,925.75 Annually 
Pay range is dependent upon education & experience. 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement effective forecasting models to accurately predict customer demand
  • Manage customer orders and inventory levels to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Monitor information on occurrences that could impact demand, like product promotions, vendor issues, and production delays
  • Monitor customer service levels, and historical sales trends to identify areas for improvement
  • Collect data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to develop supply chain strategies
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience as a Demand Planner
  • Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, and vendor management
  • Strong forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Travel Requirements:

  • 0-25%

Work Environment:

  • Noise: Quiet
  • Indoors
