Senior Systems Engineer (Finance)

The Senior Systems Engineer leads and oversees the full systems engineering lifecycle supporting helicopter development, systems integration, and modifications across CHI platforms. Serves as a trusted technical authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define, develop, and validate complex system requirements. Provides strategic direction for system architecture, integration, and testing efforts, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and company goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and facilitate comprehensive requirements capture, analysis, and management across projects to ensure clear, verifiable, and feasible system requirements.
  • Develop and validate advanced system architectures, design solutions, and integration strategies for complex platforms and system-of-systems.
  • Author, review, and approve detailed system specifications, including interface control documents.
  • Lead trade studies and feasibility assessments, providing technical recommendations to guide project decisions and mitigate risks.
  • Act as the primary SME and technical advisor to development teams, project leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Define, coordinate, and oversee system integration, verification, and validation activities including acceptance testing.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to Systems Engineers and cross-disciplinary teams; serve as technical escalation point.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree in Systems, Electrical, Software, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field; MS degree preferred.
  • 8 plus years of progressive experience in systems engineering within the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Proven experience leading complex systems engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761 processes and FAA certification regulations, including 14 CFR Parts 21, 29, and 43.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate stakeholder needs into detailed technical requirements and solutions.
  • Exceptional technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced communication skills capable of effectively engaging technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant systems engineering tools.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.
