Anchor/MMJ, KTNV (Media)



Are you ready to tell the stories that matter in one of America's most dynamic cities? KTNV, The E.W. Scripps ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking an Anchor/MMJ who will deliver compelling news to our viewers while being at the center of breaking stories that impact our community. You'll bring energy and authenticity to our broadcasts while connecting with the diverse audiences that make Las Vegas unique.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Anchor newscasts with a conversational, engaging style
  • Generate, research and develop story ideas
  • Shoot, write and edit stories for multiple platforms
  • Develop sources and maintain contacts within the community
  • Participate in community events as a station representative
  • Post content to digital platforms including web and social media
  • Collaborate with producers and news managers on content development
  • Perform live shots from the field for breaking news and feature stories

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field preferred
  • 3+ years experience in broadcast journalism
  • Demonstrated on-air presence and reporting skills
  • Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Excellent writing and storytelling abilities
  • Strong on-camera presence and communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with video editing software and digital content tools
  • Social media savvy with understanding of digital audience engagement
  • Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
