Job Description
Primary Function of Position

This position has the opportunity to make a direct impact to Intuitive US Hospital Marketing initiatives that drive adoption of da Vinci Surgery among customers. The Sr. Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing market-specific strategies that educate and influence referring physicians, including primary care providers and specialty physicians, to drive referrals to da Vinci surgeons. The individual will partner closely with marketing, sales leadership, and surgeon practices/hospitals to:

  • Identify strategic opportunities to educate & raise awareness of da Vinci surgery within the referring physician audience
  • Create tailored engagement plans that support business development across targeted markets/specialties
  • Nurture new & existing referral relationships through targeted follow-up and engagement
  • Design scalable direct-to-physician campaigns that elevate surgeon visibility and support referral growth
  • Develop best practices and training that enable internal & external teams to independently execute referring physician initiatives, allowing for scalable impact

As a Sr. Marketing Manager, you will be required to be capable of managing multiple marketing initiatives in a results-driven environment, operating successfully within a corporate and commercial matrix organization, demonstrate functional capabilities in presentation design and delivery and work cross functionally through effective project management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify hospitals and surgeons with referral opportunity through robust data sets, and partner with sales leadership to build regional strategies that influence referring physician behavior.
  • Design and lead direct-to-physician campaigns (email, digital, etc.) to build awareness of da Vinci surgery, highlight surgeon availability, and drive referral conversions.
  • Work closely with hospital marketing managers, sales reps, and surgeon practices to co-develop referring physician education plans and scale successful engagement models.
  • Define best practices, develop collateral, and deploy referring physician events/follow-up tools.
  • Conduct in-person visits to referring physician offices to build relationships, deliver educational materials, and support key messaging.
  • Track campaign and engagement effectiveness using data-driven KPIs. Report outcomes and recommend optimizations across markets.
  • Use referring physician marketing experience and industry/technical knowledge to provide consultative support to physician outreach teams.
  • Synthesize VOC to understand challenges/barriers and opportunities to customers' educating patients & referring physicians on the value of their da Vinci programs.
  • Equip sales teams, key opinion leaders, and hospital marketing teams with the training and best practices needed to execute and sustain referring physician initiatives locally - enabling scale.
  • Build relationships with key societies/leaders to establish a higher level of awareness and engagement to ensure Intuitive is seen as an integral partner in the healthcare space.
  • Be a market expert in world of healthcare serving as a patient advocate - effectively leveraging the value propositions, approved claims, customer feedback, and sales input to maximize Intuitive's footprint and growth trajectory for minimally invasive care.
  • Be a champion of the Intuitive culture; learning and embodying the company's individual expectations for success.
Qualifications
Skill/Job Requirements
  • 10+ years of healthcare marketing, physician outreach, or strategic healthcare business development preferred.
  • Strong experience with provider marketing, especially referring physician campaigns
  • Proven ability to influence referral behavior through education and relationship-building
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategy
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, healthcare administration, or related field required; Masters preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with Marketing and Sales leadership at the Director, VP-level, and Senior Executive leadership levels
  • Results-driven attitude & a resolve to win; self-directed
  • Excellent executive-level presentation skills
  • Creative problem-solving and an ability to effectively communicate actionable direction and information across varying organizational levels
  • Ability to influence non-direct reports to achieve goals
  • Proven agility with the ability to anticipate and overcome roadblocks to success.
  • Proven ability to project manage multiple initiatives at once
  • Passionate about attention to detail and quality of work
  • Ability to travel up to 70%

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $187,500 USD - $269,700 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $168,700 USD - $242,700 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Remote - This job will be remote and/or the job is designed to be performed outside of the office. Employees will come onsite when requested by the leader. Apply
