As part of the Anthology Global Proposal Management (GPM) team, you will be a key player in supporting the business's growth by managing all aspects of proposal development. This highly networked role requires working under pressure and meeting challenging deadlines. The Proposal Manager will support our Global Markets teams by managing high-quality proposals to maximize customer retention and win new business. This person will be a key leader who motivates and coordinates company stakeholders to produce strategic proposal responses.

This is an established role within the team where you will hit the ground running. Agility and flexibility are key skills , as is proven experience working with multiple geographically located teams. You will predominantly work on higher value and more complex proposals with the ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, and decision-making.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and leading the proposal process from capture to submission, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements and internal governance
  • Owning and managing our bid management software to ensure high-quality, accurate data
  • Conducting strategic proposal reviews to emphasize key differentiators for success
  • Writing non-functional responses and demonstrating attention to detail
  • Communicating and influencing at a mid-level individual contributor capacity
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Capture Management best practices
  • Coaching sales teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practices
  • Staying current on proposal best practices and market trends
  • Producing graphic designs to complement proposal materials on occasion

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or high-level qualification in a related field.
  • 5-8 years equivalent work experience with managing complex bids, writing, project management or equivalent
  • APMP Foundation level certification
  • Experience with Responsive or similar proposal automation tools
  • Knowledge of the US sales market across the public and private sectors
  • Understand ing of the basics of generative AI/AI tools and how they can drive efficiencies across bid and proposal management processes
  • Self-starter
  • Creative thinker
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred skills/qualifications :

  • EU market experience
  • Fluency in additional languages

Pay Range is $79,000 - $118,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
