Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and source parts and supplies to repair or service equipment as necessary.
- Independently performs maintenance as required by equipment and/or industry standards.
- Read, understand, and follow schematics and maintenance orders.
- May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform some welding tasks.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.
- Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
- Provides assistance to lower-level technicians and may occasionally lead small teams.
- Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, machine manuals and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives.
- Install, maintain, and repair fabrication, machining, welding, material handling, and assembly equipment.
- Install and maintain 480, 220, and 100 branch electrical service. Pipe fitting (gas, water, air, sprinkler system).
- Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Able to safely operate overhead crane system.
- Able to grip, grasp, and manipulate hand tools to service all equipment.
- Able to lift, pivot, lower, and push/pull parts into machines.
- Prolonged postures (bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling) while performing all job tasks required.
- Able to read electrical schematics and hydraulic schematics.
- Able to successfully complete all safety training, i.e.: confined space entry, Arc Flash, lockout/tagout.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position or Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry
- Be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to use overhead crane to lift anything over 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass Forklift Certification process.
- Must have a customer focused, positive attitude with good communication and basic math skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Understands 480 wiring, electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs on these systems.
- Basic knowledge of machinists' math, heating and air conditioning, welding, and cutting.
- Able to proficiently use hand tools and specialized tools as needed. Ability to effectively use a PC, testing equipment, and sewer power rodder required.
Anticipated Wage Range: $25.00 - $30.00 willing to pay more based on experience and expertise.
