Job Description
CIVIL TOWER HAND
Job Summary:

As a Civil Tower Hand you will be working in a team environment assisting with civil structural projects, which may include: preparing sites, tying rebar, mixing and pouring concrete, smoothing and finishing surfaces, trenching, small maintenance task on towers, and cleaning up.

Job Duties:

Rotation work that includes up to 4-5 weeks on the road.
Participate in and assist in installation, repair, or modification of civil or foundation work in the wireless communication tower industry
Gain knowledge in installation of wireless infrastructure civil work including, but not limited to electrical, buried conduit, fiber, shelters, self-support towers, guy towers, and monopoles
Take direction and learn from experience, gaining knowledge of cell sites to include foundation, modification, repairs, general maintenance, shelter, telco
Assist in completing assigned tasks within project scope accurately and efficiently
Strict attention to detail and organization; enabling timely task completion focusing on the quality of workmanship
Assist in picking up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment, components, etc.
Maintain clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)
Attend in-house training and participate in certification programs as necessary
Work effectively in a team environment
Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
General landscaping & Trenching
Must be willing to understand oral & written directions regarding traffic laws/regulations, occupational hazards, and safety precautions
Gain knowledge of basic hand tools and willingness to gain experience with power tools, heavy equipment, and become mechanically inclined

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required.
1 - 2 years foundation or civil construction background required, preferably in telecommunications
OSHA certified a plus.
Knowledge of Equipment.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb; stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
