Position Summary:
Oak River Rehab is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Cook to assist in preparing meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, a strong work ethic, and a heart for serving others in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in cleaning and organizing kitchen and food storage areas
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff and follow direction from the Dietary Manager
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment
- Previous cooking experience preferred, especially in healthcare or institutional settings
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and accommodate special diets
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be dependable and a team player
- ServSafe certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
