The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Quality Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supervising a team with clearly defined roles within functional disciplines, such as quality assurance, product quality control, receiving, in-coming quality control, determining priorities and timetables, assigning resources/tasks, and providing performance feedback, remaining accountable for the activities and results of their team.
  • Providing training on critical quality management concepts, investigating alternative quality methods, and monitoring quality control and assurance systems to generate process and quality improvements.
  • Supervising the development and implementation of functional and cross-functional projects, plans, and programs in support of business and strategic plans, and proactively communicating project direction and status to appropriate personnel.
  • Supporting failure investigations and problem resolution, assuming responsibility for initiating and performing defined quality activities, and handling non-routine and difficult inquiries.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND seven (7) years of engineering, quality, manufacturing, or supply chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Two (2) years of United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's Degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND nine (9) years of engineering, quality, manufacturing, or supply chain experience in a medical device and/ pharmaceutical product company.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and recognized quality standards, including ISO 14971 in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Professional certification, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) through American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Skills including project management, statistical analysis using Minitab, Power BI, conducting internal and external audits.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.

  • Onsite - Irvine, California

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
