Lead PP&C Analyst (Finance)
As a Lead PP&C Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in providing project controls support our ISC Engineering team. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in delivering successful outcomes for Honeywell's programs and processes. You will report directly to our UOP Director of Engineering and you'll work out of our Houston, Texas location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our programs and processes, ensuring compliance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The specialist will use strategic thinking to anticipate problems, recognize and eliminate barriers, and drive success. Your work will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and contributing to the success of our organization.YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls or related roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Significant experience in Primavera P6 strongly desired
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers
- Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
- Ability to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches

THE BUSINESS UNIT
UOP ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) is a division within Honeywell UOP that focuses on optimizing and managing the supply chain processes. The ISC team is responsible for ensuring efficient production, procurement, and distribution of materials and products. By leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, UOP ISC aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and Milestone development/management
- Cost development/management
- Support efforts in planning, scheduling, and cost control for all phases of engineering projects
- Maintain & analyze project cost commitments & forecasts
- Anticipate schedule and cost deviations through trend analysis and earned value management (EVM)
- Develop and maintain appropriate project control metrics and reports
- Act as liaison between Finance and Project team
- Coordinate with design houses and construction contractors for project controls data
- Coordinate project activities between internal process design team, design houses, and contractors
- Use SAP and EcoSys tools to cost-estimate, plan and execute project(s)
- Use a standardized Change Orders process to reflect changes to the project plan
- Convey project controls data analysis to Project Manager and suggest possible alternatives to improve project metrics
- Regularly report project progress to managers and project steering teams
- Monitor and control projects to meet the stated objectives and metric commitments
- Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures
- Responsible for collecting and reporting cost and schedule performance metrics on all projects assigned
