Parts Person, PM, Garage - Lakeland (Maintenance)

- supporting Fleet Maintenance operations in relation to maintaining effective parts inventories within the parts rooms, ordering parts/maintenance materials in emergencies, or as needed
- receiving items/parts into the parts room
- releasing/issuing items/parts and tools from the parts room
- maintaining the items/parts inventory in parts room and
- performing administrative tasks related to parts room inventory management
- high school diploma or its equivalent
- be at least 20 years old
- be able to work nights
- be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
- knowledge of the operation of a parts room
- have a valid drivers license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
- ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment
- be able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds

- working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- be able to read, write and solve math problems
- be able to read and interpret schematics, and technical and parts manuals
- be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
- be capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system
- be able to multi-task and work independently with little or no supervision
- ability to handle confidential information
- have the ability to work well with others and be a team member
- show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and
- show commitment to Publix's mission
- current Lakeland Refrigerated Distribution associate
- Associate's degree in Business
- 3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience
- knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting
- knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data analysis
