Vice President, Finance (Finance)



Vice President, Finance - Business Unit Role (Location Flexible)

(Jacksonville, Anchorage or other U.S. locations based on business need)

As Crowley continues its transformation into a dynamic, high-performing enterprise, we are expanding our finance leadership capacity to strengthen business partnership across multiple business units. We are currently seeking a Vice President of Finance to partner closely with senior leaders in one of our key operating businesses. This executive will provide strategic financial insights, support capital allocation decisions, and drive performance outcomes aligned to growth and profitability.

This position may be aligned to one of several business units, with location flexibility based on final scope and candidate fit.
Summary
The Vice President, Finance will serve as the financial leader and business partner to the SVP of an operating unit (Fuels, Logistics, Shipping, Land Transportation or Wind), with full responsibility for FP&A, performance management, and financial strategy. This leader will bring a forward-thinking, analytical mindset to support growth, profitability, and strategic investments, while also mentoring a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
o Lead strategic and operational planning processes, including long-range planning, annual budgeting, and rolling forecasts, aligned with enterprise and tailored to the specific business unit.

o Provide full oversight of the business unit's P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring financial integrity, performance alignment, and working capital optimization.

o Develop and maintain financial models to forecast performance, evaluate capital investments, and identify areas of growth, risk, and efficiency.

o Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing decision support on capital allocation, resource planning, pricing, and operational execution.

o Analyze financial results across all three statements to identify drivers of profitability, capital efficiency, and areas for corrective action.

o Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, outlooks, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide consolidation and reporting practices.

o Build and lead performance dashboards, KPI tracking, and executive-level financial storytelling to support data-driven decision-making.

o Stay current on financial regulations and external trends, assessing potential impacts on performance, compliance, and business continuity.

o Support cross-business collaboration, helping align financial strategies across units and contributing to enterprise-level initiatives.

o Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team, promoting accountability, analytical rigor, and ethical financial stewardship.EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. MBA and/or CPA preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 12 years of experience in Finance, financial analysis or FP&A, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of capital allocation, resource planning and financial due diligence. Experience with Private Equity, joint ventures, and government contracting preferred.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; in addition to proficiency and familiar with current financial management software. Apply
