I&E Technician (Finance)



As a I&E Technician , you will report directly to our Supervisor and you'll work out of our Baton Rouge, LA location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by performing routine maintenance and repairs, which directly contributes to operational efficiency and reliability of our systems.

This position is responsible for coordinating the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and general/preventative maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment. This role requires excellent electrical and instrument aptitude and a high degree of familiarity with industrial chemical process facilities. This role requires the ability to be on-call and to respond to urgent needs so that the plant maintains capabilities around the clock. The candidate must demonstrate a desire to learn new technologies and processes. The candidate must also be fully knowledgeable in medium and low voltage (13.8KV to 120VAC) electrical systems and working experience in instrumentation and control systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.

In this role, you will impact the organization by performing routine maintenance and repairs, which directly contributes to operational efficiency and reliability of our systems.YOU MUST HAVE
• 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
• Technical certification or vocational training in Electrical/Instrumentation or in lieu of an associates or vocational degree an additional 2 years of relevant electrical or controls experience.
• Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and DCS systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (480V, 4160V), motor controls, and process instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools, multimeters, calibration devices, and testing instruments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
