EHR Administrator (Healthcare)



Job Summary:

The Electronic Medical Record (EHR) Administrator is a key member of the Health Information Technology team, responsible for supporting and optimizing the organization's Electronic Health Record systems--primarily Veradigm Practice Management and Altera TouchWorks. This role ensures effective EMR utilization, supports clinical workflows, and drives continuous system improvement in alignment with organizational goals.

Remote position- Candidate must live within driving distance of New Brighton, MN

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the main point of contact for Veradigm and Altera systems.

Collaborate with vendors to maintain and enhance EHR capabilities.

Configure and manage EMR tools, note templates, and interfaces.

Support clinical and operational departments in meeting quality and data reporting goals.

Troubleshoot system issues and manage support tickets.

Lead or support special projects, upgrades, and new implementations.

Create user guides, document workflows, and provide training support.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience in IT or healthcare support.

1-2 years of experience managing healthcare data systems or EHR platforms as well as projects.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Experience in a using clinical terminology

Experience with Power BI, Crystal Reports, and MS Office.

Preferred: Familiarity with Veradigm, Altera TouchWorks, and Jitbit.

Preferred certifications: Power BI and SQL

Compensation: $65,000.00- $75,000.00 per year
