Service Coordinator (Administrative)

The Service Coordinator is responsible for providing support to our department foremen, technicians and a direct contact to our members and guests. Here at SHM Onset Bay, we have certified Mercury and Yamaha technicians that work on all vessel systems as well as a paint and composite shop that handles a variety of cosmetic and structural repairs. Responsibilities include liaising with members and guests, providing clear and precise instructions on the work order for the technician, estimating and scheduling the work required with foremen and general manager,  following through to make sure the work is completed correctly the first time in a timely manner and invoicing and collecting payment in a prompt and timely manner prior to vessels departure.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Department Foremen, Service Team, and customers
  • Determine all needs and act as liaison between customers and Department Foremen
  • Provide clear and precise instructions on the work order for technicians
  • Estimate and schedule all required work
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner
  • Generate invoice for all work provided by service departments
  • Collect payment in a timely manner
  • Continuously meets ongoing company goals
  • Available to work overtime when required to meet deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

 

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area. 
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately. 

 

Technical and Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior marina experience preferred
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • DockMaster software experience preferred
  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Adobe experience a must
