What You'll Get to Do

The Continuous Improvement Engineer II is focused on value stream mapping and reports to the Director of Operations.

This role is perfect for an individual who is motivated with great communication skills.  A vital member of the continuous improvement team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

 

Job responsibilities include:

 

Here's What You'll Get To Do

 

 

  • Value Stream Mapping processes, time studies, leading Kaizen events, creating Standard Work, audits/Gemba Walks, develop: PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and Job Element Sheets, conducting root cause analysis using 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagram, A3 tools, New Product Introduction (NPI) validation, creating test validation plans, Gauge Studies, and perform statistical analysis.
  • Can use voice of the customer information to derive decision making. Has training and good understanding on the use of problem-solving tools (5-Why, Logic Tree, Cause & Effect diagram, A3, etc.) to determine root cause analysis and derive countermeasures.
  • An experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Ability to solve straightforward problems and has a rudimentary understanding of lean principles, quality systems, statistical tools and procedures. Leading the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to continually improve processes.
  • Understands key business drivers, uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Has training in lean six sigma tools/concepts and quality management tools.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering) or equivalent experience. 3+ years related experience and/or training.

3+ years' experience and knowledge in Toyota Production Systems, mechanical &/or manufacturing processes, an understanding of drawings, specifications and standards, familiarity with machined parts and their manufacturing processes,
