Account Executive, WTVR (Administrative)



Ready to join an innovative sales team that's redefining media partnerships? WTVR CBS 6 in Richmond, Virginia is looking for a driven Account Executive to help local businesses realize growth opportunities through compelling multi-platform advertising solutions. In this role, you'll build lasting client relationships while leveraging our powerful media tools across broadcast and digital platforms. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies
  • Apply the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and deliver customized advertising solutions that provide ROI
  • Help customers leverage our full array of marketing options including OTT video, search strategies (SEO/SEM), social media, digital display, email targeting and broadcast television
  • Independently prospect, secure appointments, perform needs analysis, develop solutions, present and close sales to develop new business
  • Use ratings data, qualitative information and market trends to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates
  • Serve as a trusted advisor with clients, provide best-in-class customer service, grow accounts and gain additional business from referrals
  • Perform client services including media availability negotiations, presentation preparation and execution, copywriting, and credit applications
  • Effectively manage your sales funnel using CRM systems while meeting key performance indicators and activity levels
  • Contribute to creative campaign development through client communication, concept creation and production assistance
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, which may include entertaining prospective and existing clients

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Generally 2+ years of proven sales success preferred
  • Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings and digital execution preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Google Office and virtual conferencing platforms
  • Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
