Intern- Segal Marco Advisors (Finance)

We are recruiting for an Intern for the Segal Marco Advisors Chicago or New York office. This is a ten (10) week assignment during the summer, beginning in June. The current hourly pay for this position is $23 per hour.

The Opportunity: The Intern will be treated as integral team members and will be exposed to assignments that will develop understanding of the Manager Research, Investment Operations, and Outsourced CIO environments.  This position affords an immediate opportunity to apply analytical, problem-solving, technical and communication skills contributing to the development of solutions to challenging client issues.

The Role: The Intern will collaborate closely with members of the team across disciplines, notably Manager Research, Investment Operations, and Discretionary Services.  Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: data entry, performance reporting and data validation from a variety of sources, attending manager meetings (including those focused on alternative investment strategies), assisting with meeting notes, and contributing to a series of strategic projects.

 

Qualifications: We seek a highly skilled candidate who is enrolled in college pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline.  The Intern must have excellent written and oral communication skills, take initiative, possess an intellectual curiosity, interact well with staff at all levels, and have excellent computer and internet research skills.  Previous internships in a professional service environment is desirable but not mandatory.
