Graduate Academic Advisor (Finance)



The position provides academic advising for the Online and Face-to-Face MSW programs. The position advises students on their academic plans and progress, academic schedule, choice of major, and other academic activities and career goals, to assist them in making decisions concerning personal educational goals leading to graduation. The Graduate Academic Advisor is a member of the Academic Support Team in the School and works closely with the MSW Program Chairs, Field Director, and Academic Program Specialists. The Graduate Academic Advisor provides advising for over 300 students.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, or an academic field directly related to the Advisor's specific responsibilities, with a minimum of one year of experience in advising or related academic functions within higher education. Work experience may not be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this position.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
