Billing Specialist (Finance)

The Billing Specialist duties include:

• Process all customer related invoice documents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage complex projects with nonstandard billing requirements
• Create project reconciliations for both internal and external contacts, as requested
• Research and resolve any billing discrepancies including timely communication
• Analyze WIP report monthly to determine project invoicing
• Responsible for all collection activities of complex and AIA billings
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years previous experience with high volume & complex invoicing
• Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• The ability to work independently and recognize when to escalate issues
• Understand the financial impact of project over and under billings
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the following:
• EDI portals
• AIA billings
• Customer collections
• WIP reports, including project billing and/or project accounting
• Q360 ERP
• Siteline AIA software
