Sr Manager, Identity & Access Management (Finance)

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) Governance team. This role will play a key leadership function in either Privileged Access Management (PAM) or Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), depending on the candidate's experience and the business need.

This is a critical role that will help drive compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Major Duties :

  • Lead and manage cross-functional initiatives in PAM or IGA.
  • Develop and enforce IAM policies, processes, and controls aligned with SOX, SOC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams to address and remediate findings.
  • Oversee implementation of key tools and frameworks for governance, including metrics, reporting, and program maturity.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and influence at all levels.
  • Lead and mentor a team of high-performing professionals. Develop periodic goals, organize the work, sets short-term priorities, monitor all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
  • Determine user requirements, plan projects, establish priorities and monitor progress.
  • Provide input and support to budget management process.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IAM, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic role.
  • Deep expertise in either PAM or IGA, with a working knowledge of the other.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in compliance-heavy environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards (SOX, SOC, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience navigating matrixed environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
  • Familiarity with tools such as SailPoint, CyberArk, or equivalent platforms.

Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
