Assistant Professor-Headache (Finance)



The Department of Neurology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine seeks academically-oriented Headache Neurologists to provide both outpatient and inpatient clinical care. Candidates must have an M.D. and be licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida. Appointment will be commiserate with experience, and skilled clinical neurologists with backgrounds in private practice will also be considered. This position will include opportunities for medical student and resident teaching, and participation in a large, diverse department having comprehensive divisions providing state of the art services and clinical trials in Headache Neurology. USF Health is the major provider of tertiary care medical service to Tampa Bay and much of Florida's west coast; this region includes some of the world's most beautiful beaches and largest recreation centers. This position requires licensure to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes, plus four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.Working at USF
