HR Business Partner (Advisor) Legal & Corporate Affairs - Hybrid (Finance)



The Cigna Group is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support the Legal & Corporate Affairs organization.

The HR Business Partner Advisor is accountable for delivering HR solutions and expertise to complex client groups to implement human resource strategies that support enterprise initiatives, achieve business results and enable sustainable growth.

In partnership with HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence this role facilitates the implementation of strategic program recommendations, prioritization and deployment in talent management, leadership development, compensation planning, organizational transformation, change management and workforce effectiveness for Legal & Corporate Affairs and represents the voice of the business within HR and the voice of HR for the business.

This role requires the HR Business Partner to be a strategic partner for the Legal & Corporate Affairs function, executing on many facets oftalent strategy, demonstrating the ability to solve problems, implement programs, while tracking and monitoring changes and progress in the organization, with moderate support from leader.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day HR support to L&CA and the HR Business Partner team.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and L&CA leaders to identify key retention and engagement drivers and build proactive solutions to retain key talent and build an engaging work environment.
  • Partner closely with the HR Business Partners in the development, management and delivery of functional strategic workforce plans and determining optimalorganizational design.
  • Support the development of effective leaders within the organization, focusing on leadership needs and key themes identified as part of the business strategy and organizational and talent review processes. Will play an active role in guiding leaders through ongoing talent review andsuccession planningactivities.
  • Help leaders build strategies to close talent gaps and develop a highly effective leadership team and bench strength for succession. Encourages building strength through diversity.
  • Proactively utilize data to identify issues and predict outcomes. Partner with HR Business Partners and L&CA Leaders to recognize trends, develop recommendations and provide support to the team.
  • Act as achange agentto client groups, partners and project teams in support oforganizational changethrough the application of a common framework, process and set of best practice tools, which prepare employees for ongoing change and transformation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a HRBP or COE function preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly complex/matrixed business and HR model
  • Strong focus on driving results and sense of urgency in supporting business leaders
  • Credibility as atrusted advisorand confidant to leadership
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand, discuss and work with leaders on Cigna's business strategy and human capital implications
  • Experience supporting change management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of, and proven capability in,organizational developmenttechniques andperformance management
  • Experience in Workday preferred

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 94,000 - 156,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
