Shipping/Receiving Lead (Finance)



Essential Functions:

1. Oversee and coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, staging and inspection of goods.

2. Verify shipment contents against packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders.

3. Ensure timely and accurate data entry in warehouse management system and dashboards.

4. Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy during inbound and outbound processes.

5. Assign tasks and provide direction to warehouse staff during shift operations.

6. Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments to resolve delays, discrepancies, or documentation issues.

7. Prepare shipping documents for all customer shipments

8. Inspect received goods for damage or defect and coordinate returns or claims as needed.

9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in shipping/receiving area and ensure dock doors and equipment are used safely.

10. Train new team members and promote adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

11. Supports audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes as needed.

12. Escalate issues to upper management when necessary.

13.Verify paperwork attached to outbound delivery.

14.Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.

15. The anticipated hourly range for the position is $17.00 - $28.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

16. This position is also eligible for a success share bonus and benefits package.

Qualifications:

-High School diploma or equivalent desired

-2+ years of related experience or training in the field of shipping, receiving or warehouse operations with some leadership responsibilities preferred

-Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner

-Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business

-Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed

-Ability to effectively work in teams

-Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people

-Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles

-Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math

-Ability to become familiar with and be able to interpret packing slips, enter correct information into the computer, and acknowledge receipt of goods into the purchase order

-Ability to understand and use all applicable aspects of WMS

-Ability to work with plant management for required results

-Familiarity with the most common material handling equipment

-Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job

-Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

-Ability to work well under pressure

-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

-Strong attention to detail

-Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work on feet for extended periods Apply
