Certified Recovery Specialist (part time) (Finance)



DESCRIPTION - THIS ROLE IS PART TIME - UP TO 29 HOURS WEEKLY
REQUIRED Active certification as a Recovery Specialist and/or Peer Specialists
The Certified Recovery Specialist will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to our recovering clients in order to assist in Identifying relapse triggers, preventing relapse and promoting long-term recovery. The Certified Recovery Specialist must demonstrate the ability to share personal recovery experiences and develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships while maintaining professional/ethical boundaries.
The Certified Recovery Specialist will be responsible for providing specialized support and will work as a liaison between the clients, clinical staff, and ancillary supports as directed by the Clinical Director of the agency.
Duties specific to the position are:
Provide screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment and/or other applicable community resources and services.
Identify emergency and/or crisis situations and facilitate access to appropriate resources. Assist the client in identifying and prioritizing strengths/needs by utilizing various techniques that engage clients and promote self-disclosure. Assist in the development and enhancement of clients comprehensive individualized recovery plan, recognizing many pathways to recovery, accessing and advocating for recovery/community resources that support client goals and interests. Provide supportive (peer-based) coaching and encouragement to clients contemplating or actively seeking help with treatment and recovery. Document each service-related contact in case notes according to program standards. Provide outreach, engage, and educate the client, family, and community about the recovery process and recovery resources. Assist counseling staff with identifying client discharge options and discharge planning to include continuing care placement, and other community-based services. Develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency. Engage in continuing professional development. Adherence to the PCB codes of ethics, standards of practice.Participate in weekly clinical team meetings.
Comply with all HIPAA Requirements - maintain current understanding of federal, state and local confidentiality rules and regulations.Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director.Must have basic computer literacy skills, ability to type, use fax machine, telephone system, and video equipment.
