Senior Buyer, Indirect Procurement (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis seeks a Procurement Buyer, Indirect to function as a key member of the Arcadis Global Procurement team to identify suppliers as appropriate for a category, managing competitive bids, negotiating, and awarding contracts, resolving supplier and contract issues, ensuring adherence to Procurement Policy, creating, and driving savings and other incentives and any other procurement activity required to support the business.

The Indirect Procurement Buyer will design and manage a strategic RFP process. Indirect Procurement includes spend categories that supports functions across a global enterprise such as IT, Human Resources, Finance, Workplace, Travel etc.

Role accountabilities:

Assisting in bid strategy formulation, creating, and managing an RFP process, recommendation of vendor selection, and final contract negotiation;

Ensure adherence to and support Procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure a uniform method of work approaches that delivers exceptional performance values for Arcadis and its clients;

Reports directly to the Global Director - Indirect & Tech Procurement. Manage spend in Indirect categories including Workplace, Travel, Marketing and Professional Services. Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal functional groups regarding company and procurement issues;

Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholder groups to advocate best in class procurement practices;

Work independently and consistently in a fast- paced environment with a demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines.

Key Attributes:

  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles, and practices;
  • Ability to quickly grasp business objectives and strategies and how service offerings support the attainment of those objective;
  • Good level of proficiency in business computer applications including good Excel skills;
  • Possesses a strong client focus, as demonstrated by a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work assignments and new learning opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 - 10 years of experience in procurement; strong experience in indirect procurement
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, IT, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Indirect procurement experience is strongly preferred across multiple categories such as tech, travel, marketing, and Information Security
  • Oracle experience preferred
  • Experience working in a large organization, preferably Fortune 500 company, preferred

The salary range for this position is $100,0000 - $125,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
