Manager, Marketing (Finance)



Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Marketing position will serve as the day-to-day marketing leader for two business lines within Patient and Provider Services: Pathways to Transplant and the Collection/Transplant Network. This role will oversee marketing campaigns for clients in transplant and collection centers, community hematologists/oncologists, and more. Responsibilities include leading an effective team, developing and managing complex omni channel marketing strategies, achieving lead gen/lead nurture conversion goals, integrating data and analytics into best practices and collaborating with a large variety of internal and external partners. This role will report to the Director, Marketing for Patient and Provider Services.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop, execute and evaluate annual marketing plans in support of the Business team goals.
  • Articulate and activate a clear lead generation strategy to onboard more healthcare professionals and their centers to NMDP so that we can drive product/service utilization.
  • Drive prioritization and clarity for cross functional team to ensure a focus on efforts that drive results for the five main organization metrics.
  • Manage paid, owned and earned media components as relevant to broader marketing strategy.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to the business partner marketing plans.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with external contacts to drive new business or collaboration opportunities.
  • Develop productive and strategic relationships with business teams to ensure work can be completed effectively. Serve as the day-to-day marketing contact for the Customer Experience and Community Engagement business operations team.
  • Serve as a liaison between the marketing team(s) and business. Leading scoping, briefing and production direction.
  • Determine and prioritize development of marketing assets needed to fulfill priorities.
  • Lead assigned team, with focus on exemplifying organizational values, building a healthy team culture and professional development.
  • Serve valiantly as a leader in the marketing function to achieve business and organization. success. Consistently drive work with urgency, effectiveness and efficiency in mind.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • B2B and B2C marketing communications, preferably in the healthcare space.
  • Strategic marketing: annual planning, turning data into insights and ideas, campaign execution and measurement.
  • Building integrated marketing strategies in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Content and marketing asset development scoping, briefing and production direction.
  • Lead generation strategies and channels.

Ability to:

  • Be highly detailed and results-oriented, with excellent, proactive problem-solving skills
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and build influential and collaborative relationships, influencing without authority
  • Exhibit advanced interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Collaborate and accept variable work direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Successfully plan, follow-through, and provide recommendations for continuous improvementwith urgency
  • Communicate with audiences both large and small in an effective manner using a wide range of mediums including email, social media and public speaking
  • Development and management of budgets
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proven record of valiant and collaborative leadership as part of a larger team
  • Have the ability and be willing to travel out of state to attend professional events/tradeshows (3-4 times annually), to connect with target audiences in the fields of hematology and oncology

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communication (or equivalent experience); Master's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience with a demonstrated ability to create robust marketing plans in support of a business, develop communications strategies and manage multiple partners
  • 2+ years of management experience including direct reports and cross functional partners
  • Healthcare B2B and/or B2C marketing campaign development and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate a matrixed organization
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and influencing skills
