Now Hiring: Dietary Aide (Evening Shift)
Join Our Kitchen Team and Help Make Mealtimes Meaningful

General Purpose
Looking for a rewarding job where you can make a difference and be part of a close-knit team? Our Dietary Aides play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents to enjoy their meals. This position is for the evening shift, and you'll report to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor. Every night brings a mix of routine and variety—and a chance to brighten someone's day.

What You'll Do
No two evenings are quite the same, but here's what you can expect as part of our dietary team:

  • Learn food service routines quickly and jump right into the action
  • Set up and serve meal trays with care and attention to detail
  • Clean up returned trays and help operate the dishwashing machine
  • Assist with meal service and preparation of snacks and nourishments
  • Check and record water temperature and chlorine levels in the dishwasher
  • Keep the kitchen floors swept and mopped so everything stays safe and clean
  • Take out trash and ensure waste is handled properly
  • Unpack groceries and organize them neatly and safely
  • Wipe down work surfaces and clean refrigerators regularly
  • Leave the kitchen spotless at the end of your shift
  • Step in and support the cook or supervisor whenever needed
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training with a team-first attitude

Qualifications
  • Evening availability required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read and follow basic instructions and recipes
  • Comfortable with simple math (fractions, percentages, and ratios)
  • Able to work well with others in a fast-paced setting
  • Food handler's certificate required (or willingness to obtain one)

Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Occasional sitting, bending, reaching, or lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Frequent use of hands and arms; ability to hear, see, and smell as needed in a kitchen environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a moderately noisy, warm environment

Summary of Benefits

Generous paid time off for vacation accruing at 4 hours a month, 48 FT or 40 PT annually recurring sick day hours prorated based on hire date, and 7 paid Holidays each year.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience and education.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Apply
