Academic Services Admin (Finance)



The primary role of this Sr. Academic Program Specialist is to serve as the Primary Care Clerkship Coordinator (PCC-C). This person will maintain the operations and scheduling for the PCC at the direction of the Clerkship Directors. The Primary Care Clerkship coordinator will be expected to perform many tasks and will lead the communication of administrative and educational information to physicians, students, and site-specific staff. The position will work in many different software platforms, to carry out functions; as well as be responsible for inputting and extracting critical data required for final grades and course evaluation required by the school's accreditation body. The Sr. Academic Prog Specialist will also contribute to the overall education mission for the Department of Family Medicine as the primary liaison to the Department of Medical Education.This position requires a Master's degree in education or a field of study related to the academic program, or a Bachelor's degree in those same fields with a minimum of two years of experience.

  • Administer academic policies and advise faculty, staff, and students on policy matters related to the Primary Care Clerkship Program as the clerkship coordinator;
  • Fulfill department administrative responsibilities for onboarding, orienting and scheduling and of primary care clerkship students;
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce reports for internal and external use;
  • Write reports and prepare presentations about the academic program, instructional activity, program planning, etc.
  • Coordinate space requirements and classroom logistics as needed to ensure seamless delivery of instruction;
  • Coordinate the submission of evaluations, grades and other student requirements with the program director;
  • Serve as a liaison with other academic and administrative departments regarding the academic program, representing the program on cross-functional teams, policy committee, and work groups;
  • Coordinate the recruitment and appointment of collaborative faculty, including appointment renewals;
  • Prepare materials and assessments for posting via online web pages;
  • Attend on-site orientation, exam proctoring, lectures and events as requested by faculty;
  • Perform other administrative and analytical duties supporting the academic mission of the department, college, or unit;
  • Works with other team members in the department to support the overall academic mission of the Department of Family Medicine;
  • Other duties as assigned;
