International Fulfillment Manager (Finance)



Candidate must be based in Eastern or Central Region

Job Overview:

Provides day-to-day leadership for International/Export customers and order fulfillment operations. Responsible for enhancing performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability by implementing effective strategies, policies, and best practices across departmental and organizational functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serves as the operational liaison for UNFI International, fostering strong relationships with existing customers, regional teams, vendors, third-party providers, and overseas partners.

• Collaborates cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure efficient and compliant export/import operations that support the organization's sales, procurement, and overall business functions.

• Leads a team responsible for container consolidation activities related to import and export shipments, ensuring efficient operations and timely deliveries to customer distribution centers

• Initiates and leads process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and drive organizational change.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent execution and adherence to established processes.

• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills to build and sustain complex relationships with key stakeholders and customers.

• Partners with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to resolve outstanding balances, which may include direct customer collection efforts.

• Supports claims resolution efforts by coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate handling of issues.

• Oversee recruitment and staffing processes, establish effective organizational structures, delegate responsibilities, set work schedules, supervise team members, and monitor performance to ensure operational excellence

• Manages and trains associates to ensure effective daily order fulfillment, clear communication, and proactive customer service.

• Possesses intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and various formulas to support data analysis and reporting.

• Partner with International Sales teams to drive strategic initiatives, streamline processes, and support long-term revenue growth.

• Performs additional relevant duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

• 2+ years of sales background preferred

• Strong international or related industry experience preferred

• 3+ years of strong customer service or management experience

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

• Ability to think aggressively and work proactively. Need strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle multiple challenges, projects, priorities, and deadlines.

• Effective communication skills are needed, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrates strong computer proficiency, including hands-on experience with SharePoint sites, spreadsheets, and database applications.

• Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.

• Detail-oriented; ability to understand what needs to be done and execute accordingly.

• Ability to handle confidential information maturely and professionally.

• Ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.

Work Environment:

Remote Role:

  • This position is classified as remote, where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager. This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or others locations for specific meetings or other reasons.
