HR Generalist (Project Management)



Job Summary:

The HR Generalist supports key HR functions, including onboarding, recruitment, training, and employee engagement. This role contributes to a strong internal culture by aligning HR practices with business goals and enhancing organizational structure. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional with experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS systems, employment law, event coordination, and who is passionate about attracting and retaining top talent.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding
•    Manage job descriptions and postings, candidate communications, and documentation through the ATS.
•    Collaborate with hiring managers to define roles, update job descriptions, and develop job ads.
•    Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and support candidate selection.
•    Extend offers and ensure a professional, timely candidate experience.
•    Lead a smooth onboarding process and co-deliver new hire orientations.

Employee Engagement & Events
•    Support planning, coordination, and execution of employee events, including onboarding, engagement, and                            
 team-building activities.
•    Design and distribute event flyers and employee communications.
•    Collaborate with departments to manage event logistics and resolve any issues.
•    Maintain detailed event documentation, including BEOs, contracts, photos, and promotional materials.
•    Promote the company's culture, values, and employer brand to support employee retention and engagement.

Talent Acquisition Support
•    Represent the company at job fairs and recruitment events.
•    Partner with schools and organizations to attract quality candidates.
•    Assist with H-2B and J-1 visa processes and support international staff housing coordination.

Training
•    Identifies and monitors training needs in the organization, designs, plans, and implements training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.

General HR Support & Compliance
•    Maintain accurate, confidential employee files in compliance with legal standards.
•    Ensure all HR practices align with employment laws and internal policies.
•    Respond to employee inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support.
•    Cross-train in other HR functions to ensure team collaboration and business continuity.

Qualifications and Experience: 
•    A bachelor's degree and three to five years of human resource experience. 
•    Certification credentials through SHRM or HRCI preferred.
•    Exceptional people skills required.
•    Proficiency with MS Office.
•    Valid driver's license required.
•    Prior experience in a country club, resort/hotel, or service industry preferred
•    Solid knowledge base of state and federal labor laws and regulations, and HR principles and practices.
•    Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•    Experience and/or familiarity with international hiring is a strong plus.

Physical Requirements:     
•    Ability to lift 30 lbs.; work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods, may fluctuate. 
•    May handle, finger, grasp, and lift objects and packages. 
•    Reach with hands and arms, communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information. Ability to navigate          
 the property/building quickly and efficiently to meet the job functions; complete all required forms.

Working Conditions: 
Most work will be completed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment with little to moderate noise.   

 

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience.

This is a full-time position eligible for a full benefits package.
