Patient Financial Services Lead (Sales)



We are currently seeking a full-time Patient Financial Services Representative to join our Arden Hills Business Office. Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family, or psychological problems. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient chemical dependency program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.

Supports Patient Financial Services Supervisor and acts as representative of Nystrom with patients and other collections specialists working to maximize collection of patient balances.

Job Duties:

Serve as the primary contact for Patient Financial Services Representatives:

Answer staff questions
Aid with difficult patient interactions
Collaborating with the Supervisor on complex questions

Provide training to Patient Financial Services Representatives and other staff:

Train new staff on policies and procedures
Assist in developing and supplying materials for collections

Maintain the department manual/SharePoint page:

Review and implement necessary changes

Communicate with the Supervisor to recognize trends and areas for improvement
Implement strategies to improve productivity and profitability
Resolve inquiries about self-pay balances
Assist with 1:1 meetings with staff
Prepare uncollectible accounts for third-party collections
Attend and participate in Business Office meetings and training sessions
Perform other duties as assigned by management


Hours:

Monday - Friday, general day time hours


Qualifications:

Insurance billing and follow up experience, Mental Health experience preferred.
Familiarity with insurance company guidelines and HIPPA regulations.
Demonstrates superior dedication to high quality, continuous quality improvement and department
efficiency and excellence.
High school graduate or above.
